Freelance writer Korede Akinsete contemplates culture and identity while sitting next to a framed copy of one her published pieces of writing

From reciting Wole Soyinka at eight years old to blogging about music in her teenage years, Korede has always been enamored by arts and language. Currently, she is a freelance writer covering culture and identity in its many forms. A self-proclaimed music-head, much of Korede’s writing explores the musical landscape across Africa and its diaspora, always ensuring to provide her signature nuanced analysis and historical context.
